Ordinance No. 1014 Page 3 (c) The applicant submits the form required to discharge discriminatory covenants to the city for filing with Ramsey County. The City may provide notary and mailing services. The certificate shall not be issued unless the form is accepted and filed with Ramsey County. (d) The applicant files the required form to discharge the discriminatory covenant at the time of closing. (D) City Records. The city shall maintain a list of all properties that it has been informed have a discriminatory covenant and a list of all properties for which a certificate has been issued. § 38.004 Discriminatory Covenants Prohibited. Discriminatory covenants are prohibited in the City of Mounds View and may not be filed against any property in the City. 38.999 Penalty. Violation of this section shall not result in a petty misdemeanor or criminal prosecution. Violations of this Chapter shall be charged as an administrative offense subject to City Code, section 130.002. SECTION 2. In accordance with Section 3.07 of the City Charter, City staff shall have the following summary printed in the official City newspaper in lieu of the complete ordinance: On July 22, 2024, the City Council adopted Ordinance 1014, adding a new chapter 38 to Title III of the Mounds View City Code regarding the discharge of Discriminatory Covenants. A printed copy of the ordinance is available for inspection during regular business hours at Mounds View City Hall and is available online at the City's web site located at www.moundsviewmn.org. SECTION 3. This ordinance shall take effect and be in force 30 days from and after its passage and publication, in accordance with Section 3.09 of the City Charter.
