Item No: 5F <br /> MOUNDS VIEW Meeting Date: July 22, 2 — <br /> Type of Business: CA <br /> Administrator Review: <br /> City of Mounds View Staff Report <br /> To: Honorable Mayor and City Council <br /> From: Don Peterson, Director of Public Works/Parks and Recreation <br /> Item Title/Subject: Resolution 9960, Approving the 2024 Mounds View Festival in the <br /> Park Agreement <br /> Background: <br /> The Mounds View Festival in the Park is on Friday, August 16 and Saturday, August 17, <br /> 2024. <br /> The 2024 adopted budget includes $15,500.00 in support (in-kind donation)of the Festival <br /> in the Park expenses such as City personnel and equipment expenses ($7,500), Music in <br /> the Park ($3,000), and payment of the Fireworks Show ($5,000). <br /> Discussion: <br /> The 2024 Festival in the Park Agreement was reviewed by the City Attorney and the <br /> Festival Committee. The President of the Festival Committee, Kathryn Smith, will be <br /> present to answer any questions. <br /> Strategic Plan Strategy/Goal: Continue making Mounds View a welcoming a desirable <br /> destination to all ages and cultures...and a place where residents can live, work and play. <br /> Financial Impact: No financial Impact to the 2024 Budget.
