RESOLUTION NO. 9958 <br />CITY OF MOUNDS VIEW <br />COUNTY OF RAMSEY <br />STATE OF MINNESOTA <br />AUTHORIZING SEPARATION COMPENSATION FOR <br />POLICE OFFICER KIRK LEITCH <br />WHEREAS, Police Officer Kirk Leitch has resigned from the City of Mounds View; his last day of <br />employment is July 12, 2024; and <br />WHEREAS, in accordance with the Labor Agreement between the City of Mounds View and the <br />Law Enforcement Labor Services, Inc. (LELS) Local No. 204, and the Mounds View Personnel Manual, <br />Officer Leitch will receive a cash payout of his vacation hours and compensatory time; and <br />WHEREAS, in accordance with the Labor Agreement between the City of Mounds View and the <br />Law Enforcement Labor Services, Inc. (LELS) Local No. 204, and the Mounds View Personnel Manual, <br />50% of Officer Leitch's sick leave hours will be deposited into his Retirement Health Savings Plan; and <br />WHEREAS, Officer Leitch's balance of accrued and unused vacation is estimated at 353.46 <br />hours and his compensation balance is 0.00 hours; and <br />WHEREAS, Officer Leitch's balance of accrued and unused sick leave is estimated at 261.50 <br />hours; and <br />WHEREAS, Officer Leitch's rate of pay upon resignation is $48.61 per hour. <br />NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED that the Mounds View City Council approves separation <br />compensation to Police Officer Kirk Leitch consistent with the Labor Agreement between the City of <br />Mounds View and the Law Enforcement Labor Services, Inc.
