RESOLUTION NO. 9958 CITY OF MOUNDS VIEW COUNTY OF RAMSEY STATE OF MINNESOTA AUTHORIZING SEPARATION COMPENSATION FOR POLICE OFFICER KIRK LEITCH WHEREAS, Police Officer Kirk Leitch has resigned from the City of Mounds View; his last day of employment is July 12, 2024; and WHEREAS, in accordance with the Labor Agreement between the City of Mounds View and the Law Enforcement Labor Services, Inc. (LELS) Local No. 204, and the Mounds View Personnel Manual, Officer Leitch will receive a cash payout of his vacation hours and compensatory time; and WHEREAS, in accordance with the Labor Agreement between the City of Mounds View and the Law Enforcement Labor Services, Inc. (LELS) Local No. 204, and the Mounds View Personnel Manual, 50% of Officer Leitch's sick leave hours will be deposited into his Retirement Health Savings Plan; and WHEREAS, Officer Leitch's balance of accrued and unused vacation is estimated at 353.46 hours and his compensation balance is 0.00 hours; and WHEREAS, Officer Leitch's balance of accrued and unused sick leave is estimated at 261.50 hours; and WHEREAS, Officer Leitch's rate of pay upon resignation is $48.61 per hour. NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED that the Mounds View City Council approves separation compensation to Police Officer Kirk Leitch consistent with the Labor Agreement between the City of Mounds View and the Law Enforcement Labor Services, Inc. (LELS) Local No. 204, and the Mounds View Personnel Manual as follows: Hours Hourly rate Payout Vacation Hours 353.46 $48.61 $17,181.69 Cash Payout Compensatory Hours 0.00 $48.61 $ .00 Cash Payout Sick Leave 523.00 x 50%=261.50 261.50 $48.61 $12,711.52 Into RHSP Estimated Total Separation Compensation: $29,893.21 Adopted this 22th day of July, 2024.
