Reports of Mayor and Council. <br /> 2 <br /> 3 Council Member Gunn stated Night to Unite would be held on Tuesday,August 6. She encouraged <br /> 4 residents to register their neighborhood party with the Mounds View Police Department. <br /> 5 <br /> 6 Council Member Gunn indicated she attended the recent Cable Commission meeting. She noted <br /> 7 the Cable Commission would be hosting Speak Outs for city council candidates. <br /> 8 <br /> 9 Council Member Clark stated the next Festival in the Park meeting would be held on July 30 at <br /> 10 6:30 p.m. at Public Works. She encouraged the public to attend the upcoming Festival in the Park <br /> 11 which would be held on Friday, August 16 and Saturday, August 17. <br /> 12 <br /> 13 Council Member Cermak noted she would be attending a Fire Board meeting on Thursday, July <br /> 14 25 in East Bethel. <br /> 15 <br /> 16 Council Member Gunn reported the Tribute Park Committee would be meeting next on Tuesday, <br /> 17 July 30 at 6:30 p.m. <br /> 18 <br /> 19 Council Member Gunn explained Park and Rec would be hosting a Picnic in the Park at Silver <br /> 20 View Park on Tuesday, July 30 from 5:30 p.m. to 7:00 p.m. <br /> 21 <br /> 22 Council Member Gunn reported the Ramsey County Meet and Greet would be held on Tuesday, <br /> 23 July 30 at 6:00 p.m. <br /> 24 <br /> 25 Council Member Clark stated there was a Popsicles in the Park event on Thursday, July 25 at the <br /> 26 Splash Pad. <br /> 27 <br /> 28 Mayor Lindstrom explained NBC reached out to him and would be running the story in the near <br /> 29 future. <br /> 30 <br /> 31 Mayor Lindstrom stated the Medallion Hunt would begin on Wednesday, August 14. <br /> 32 <br /> 33 Mayor Lindstrom reported on Friday, August 2 he would begin his service as Chairman of the <br /> 34 Clemency Committee. <br /> 35 <br /> 36 B. Reports of Staff. <br /> 37 <br /> 38 Public Works/Parks and Recreation Director Peterson provided the Council with an update on the <br /> 39 street project. He explained he would be holding a meeting with the contractor on Tuesday, July <br /> 40 23 at 8:00 a.m. He reported the City was working with the City Attorney and a letter has been sent <br /> 41 to the bond company. He commented further on the 10 items that were remaining on the punch <br /> 42 list. He understood residents were frustrated and noted staff was frustrated with the contractor as <br /> 43 well. He indicated the barrier could be pulled below the wall, but the City would then be in <br /> 44 violation of the LGU because 70% vegetation has to be established before the barrier is removed. <br /> 45 He explained he was relying on the inspector to state when the barrier can be removed.
