January 17, 2006

County Road 10 Corridor Revitalization Program
Open House Meeting

The City of Mounds View invites all interested parties to attend a public open house and informational meeting on Thursday, March 9, 2006 at 6:30 p.m. at the Mounds View Community Center,
located at 5394 Edgewood Drive, across from City Hall.

The purpose of the meeting is to provide interested parties with information on the County Road 10 Revitalization Program the City is currently undertaking and solicit input from the
general public. The meeting will be an open house format for the first thirty minutes; this will give people an opportunity to view several displays and discuss the study informally
with City staff and representatives of the City’s consulting firm. At 7:00 p.m. a brief presentation will be given. Following the presentation there will be a question and answer session,
concluding with an open house format.

The City of Mounds View, along with Ramsey County, began implementing the plan to rehabilitate and revitalize the County Road 10 Corridor. The first priority was to focus on the safety
at the intersections. Accomplishments in 2005 included: increasing the pedestrian crosswalk timing, changing the lights to LED to make them more reliable and visible, and adding Emergency
Vehicle Preemption, which allows emergency vehicles to utilize a specialized signal to override the programming of a particular traffic signal to give the emergency vehicle a dedicated
green light from the direction of its travel and a red light to all other approaches.

Goals for 2006 will include developing a plan to upgrade selected intersections and develop plans for constructing a trailway. Two trailway segments that are currently being studied
are County Road H to Silver Lake Road on the north side, and Long Lake Road to Silver Lake Road on the south side. A trailway project would include a ten-foot (10’) walkway with landscaping
and lighting.

Your input to this program is greatly appreciated. “Feedback Forms” will be available at the meeting for interested parties to express their comments and suggestions. If you cannot attend
the meeting, Feedback Forms are available at the Community Center or can be obtained on-line at http://www.ci.mounds-view.mn.us/

If you have any questions, please contact Greg Lee, Public Works Director.
Telephone Number: 763-717-4051
Fax Number: 763-784-3462
Email: greg.lee@ci.mounds-view.mn.us
