<br />Commissioners Kunz read ”Staff walked the site on September 19, 2005. It appears likely that nearly this entire site is wetland. Any development of this site may be difficult. A citizen’s <br /> group challenged the sale of the golf course. All associated activities have been placed on hold until a ruling from the court was received. This occurred on Friday, October 21, 2005 <br /> in favor of the City Council’s decision to sell the golf course. Staff will request authorization to seek assistance in determining the feasibility of developing this site.” <br />Staff will contact the firm of RLK to see if they could review the site and provide the City with site data and recommendations pertaining to the feasibility of developing park items <br /> on this site. <br />Staff will bring this item to the City Council in November. <br />This should be discussed at the December meeting. <br /> <br />Trailway Program – Review Trailway Comprehensive Plan <br />Commissioners (and Staff) to read the Trailway Proposal document created by the Trailway Advocacy Group in May of 1992. <br />Discus this at the November meeting. <br /> <br />LaPort Meadows Concept Development Plan <br />The relocation of the compost site might be difficult. <br />The Commissioners were concerned about giving up a park <br />Residents may be upset by a proposal which eliminates a park and relocates the existing compost site. <br /> <br />7. Commissioner/Staff Reports: <br /> <br />Storm Damage Reports – The storm damage activities were completed on October 11, 2005. There will be some minor tree removal and clean up activities occurring in Silver View Park over <br /> the next several months. The total cost of the clean up is estimated to be $95,000. Brush can be brought to the Arden Hills compost site at Hudson Avenue and New Brighton Road (location <br /> of Arden Hill compost site not stated at the meeting). <br /> <br />Commissioner Silvis and Park Supervisor Dazenski attended a meeting regarding Spring Lake last month. Issues discussed included introduction of water to raise the lake levels and winter <br /> aeration. As a first course of action, a Lake Owners Association must be created before the DNR will consider the introduction of water.
