Park and Recreation Committee Meeting Agenda <br />June 22, 2006 <br />6:30 P.M. <br /> <br />1. Roll Call <br /> <br /> <br />2. Approval of minutes from the May 25, 2006 meeting. <br /> <br /> <br />3. Public Input - Citizens are encouraged to speak to the Park and Recreation and Forestry Commissioners on issues of concern. <br /> <br /> <br />4. YMCA Update <br /> At the May 25, 2006 meeting, the Commissioners requested a copy of room rental policies and fee structure. The YMCA has submitted this for review and discussion. <br /> <br /> <br />5. Unfinished Business: <br /> <br />Tobacco Free Parks – This was discussed by the City Council at the June 5th Work Session. The City Council stated that they would review the draft policy and provide comments prior to <br /> being re-submitted on June 26th. As of June 19th, Staff has received comments from one council member. These comments pertained to having two exception areas: designated areas at the <br /> Community Center, and in vehicles in designated parking areas or adjacent to public streets. <br /> <br />Soccer Field Review–In addition to Oakwood Park, Staff will review current parks and city owned property for the possibility of creating soccer fields. <br /> <br />Facility Guide Update – On Hold; waiting for decisions on Mounds View Community Center <br /> <br /> <br /> <br />6. New Business: <br /> <br /> <br />Review of Commissioner Application – One application was received from Gerald Arel <br /> <br />Park Improvement Plan – Finalize plan <br /> <br />County Road 10 Corridor Improvement Program – Review draft feasibility report of trailway project on the south side from Silver Lake Road to Long Lake Road (if available) <br /> <br />Any Other Items?
