7. Commissioner/Staff Reports: <br />Silver Lake Road Sidewalk Project – the City is scheduled to open bids for this project on July 6, 2006 and award a construction contract on July 10, 2006. It is anticipated construction <br /> would begin in late July and be completed in October of this year. <br /> <br />Random Park Building Replacement Project – City Council did not approve sprinkler system and is negotiating with fire marshal to put in a cheaper residential system that would still <br /> meet code. <br /> <br />Groveland Park Building Replacement – City Council did not approve sprinkler system and is negotiating with fire marshal to put in a cheaper residential system that would still meet <br /> code. Contractor may move up start date to end of July. YMCA programming can move park program if needed. <br /> <br />Silver View Park Soccer Field Rehabilitation Update: delayed due to wet spring. Should be ready mid-July. <br /> <br />Mounds View Community Center Commission Update – a presentation was given at the June 5th Work Session. <br /> <br />Park Vandalism / Graffiti Update: Police are patrolling more and have caught some vandals in the act. Vandalism decreasing. <br /> <br />8.
