<br /> <br />New Business continued <br />Facility Guide Update – Motion by Aukee, 2nd by Kroeger to finalize Facility Guide by September meeting. Passed 5-0 <br /> <br />Park Improvement Plan – review / check over current version. Dazenski suggested giving Groveland tennis courts a slurry coat to hold for a few years before entire replacement. Commission <br /> agreed. Need to add $4,000 for fiberfill and border at Random Park. New basketball hoop will be installed there also. Forward to city council if not already done so. <br /> <br />Rental Fee structure – Discussions included giving scouts 2 times per month free or all of Class I? Where to include Lambert building in rental fee structure? Keep Event Center classifications <br /> or change? Motion by Palm, 2nd by Kunz to change classifications to the attached page and accept proposed fee structure as attached, including 2 free rentals per month for all of Class <br /> I. Passed 5-0 <br /> <br />Motion by Aukee, 2nd by Arel to add Lambert Park Building with Hillview and Groveland as a Class I rate only. Passed 5-0. <br /> <br /> <br /> <br /> <br />7. New Business: <br /> <br />Mounds View Matters: Do we want a Parks Update Page? No, but will add Tobacco-Free Parks information to regular city parks page that includes who to call if park problems, etc. YMCA <br /> will also put a Tobacco-Free notice on their pages. <br /> <br />County Road 10 Trailway – segments 9&10 – Draft feasibility report will be emailed out to the Commissioners next week for review and comment. It is intended that this will be presented <br /> to the City Council at the August 7th Work Session. Move to Staff Reports unless we need to take action. <br /> <br />8. Commissioner/Staff Reports: <br />Silver Lake Road Sidewalk Project – Construction for this project is scheduled to begin next week. All concrete work to be completed by September 29th, all surface restoration completed <br /> by October 15th, and final clean up and punch list items completed by October 31st. <br /> <br />Random Park Building Replacement Project – residential sprinkler system okayed. Scheduled to be done by end of August. Commission will meet there for a visit at 6:00 before next meeting <br /> in August. <br /> <br />Groveland Park Building Replacement – residential sprinkler okayed by contractor and waiting for final approval by city inspector. Construction scheduled to begin after park programming <br /> ends first week of August. <br /> <br />Tobacco Free Parks – Implementation Update: Steve Dazenski and crew are beginning to put up signs received for free from coalition. YMCA is working on ways to inform and promote the <br /> policy through their programming. Spring Lake Park also adopted tobacco-free policy so will coordinate easily for Lakeside Park. <br /> <br />Silver View Park Soccer Field Rehabilitation Update: Field is open and youth soccer reservations are available. NO adult soccer is to be scheduled this year.
