Park and Recreation Committee Meeting Agenda <br />October 26, 2006 <br />6:30 P.M. <br />1. Roll Call <br /> <br />2. Approval of minutes from the September 28, 2006 meeting. <br /> <br />3. Public Input - Citizens are encouraged to speak to the Park and Recreation and Forestry Commissioners on issues of concern. <br /> <br />4. YMCA Update <br /> <br />5. Unfinished Business: <br /> <br />Oakwood Park Proposal <br />Staff is in the process of soliciting bids and proposals for Phase I activities for Oakwood Park. These include grading, irrigation, fencing, and seeding. Because of time element, staff <br /> is recommending that we proceed with construction first thing in the spring. <br /> <br />Facility Guide Update – Final draft and printing costs <br /> <br />Rental Fee Structure – Continued discussions. Field Rental Rates <br /> <br /> <br />6. New Business: <br /> <br />T-Mobile’s proposal to construct a building and antenna pole at Groveland Park <br />The City has been contact by T-Mobile to introduce the possibility of constructing a 10'X12' building along with a 100' pole that would have antennas mounted on it in Groveland Park. <br /> The proposed location would be just off of the northeast corner of the basketball court. The initial proposal would include an $800 monthly rental fee with an annual escalator percentage <br /> of 3% - both would be negotiable. There is also the possibility to utilize the pole for mounting lights for the skating rink at Groveland. <br /> <br />T-Mobile or their consultant may have someone attend the meeting to explain their proposal and answer any questions the Commission may have. <br /> <br />IBL Recommendation for field upgrades <br /> <br />Any Other Items? <br /> <br /> <br /> <br />7. Commissioner/Staff Reports: <br />County Road 10 Corridor Improvement Program <br />The City Council accepted the preliminary design of landscape architecture elements for the County Road 10 Trailway Corridor on October 9, 2006. This information will be added to the <br /> City’s web site.
