BETHLEHEM BAPTIST CHURCH <br />720 13TH AVENUE SOUTH - MINNEAPOLIS, MN 55415 - P: 612-338-7653 <br />F:612-338-6901 - bbcmpls@bbcmpls.org - www,bbcmpis.org <br />Proposal to the City Council of Mounds View, Minnesota <br />on the Disbursement of <br />"The Bethlehem Baptist Church Mounds View Service Project Fund" <br />With input from members of the Mounds View City Council, Mounds View Park <br />and Recreation Department, Programming Staff at the Mounds View Community <br />Center and the Mounds View Police Department, we would like to recommend <br />that the first-half donation to the 2006 "Bethlehem Baptist Church Mounds <br />View Service Project Fund" ($13,005) be distributed by the city to meet the <br />needs of our community in the following ways: <br />1. $2000 to fund the DARE program in a strategic partnership between the <br />Mounds View Police Department and the Mounds View School District <br />2. $2500 to Mounds View Park and Rec for Community Center <br />Improvements <br />3. $2500 to Mounds View Park and Rec for continued improvements at <br />Groveland Park <br />4. $1500 to Irondale High School to purchase Adaptive Physical Education <br />equipment to serve these students and their families in our school district <br />5. $2500 to the Y -Partner Program run out of the Mounds View Community <br />Center for scholarships and program development <br />6. $2005 to CEAP (Community Emergency Assistance Program) for <br />assistance to, and support of, families in crisis in Anoka and Northern <br />Ramsey counties.' <br />Additionally we recommend that the first-half donation of the 2006 "TIF (Vote <br />Gift" ($2550) be placed in the EDA Fund to be used for activities that continue to <br />support the economic climate of the city of Mounds View. <br />Respectfully submitted February 1, 2006 on behalf of Bethlehem Baptist Church. <br />Dan Holst <br />Pastor of North Campus Worship and Vision <br />' CEAP is a community-based, non-profit agency that partners with other resources to <br />assist people in need.
