Once the Neighborhood Coordinator has all the maps <br />from the Clock Captains, it is the Coordinator's responsibility to provide a master copy to <br />the Crime Prevention Unit. <br />Crime Statistics <br />Local crime statistics are provided by the agency's Crime Analysis Unit and shared with <br />citizens as appropriate by the Crime Prevention Unit. In many law enforcement agencies, <br />trained volunteers assist in compiling and analyzing statistics to indicate when and where <br />various types of crimes are being committed. <br />Neighborhood Newsletters <br />If the neighborhood has a newsletter, a copy of each edition should be forwarded to the <br />Crime Prevention Unit to be filed in the neighborhood's folder. <br />Newspaper .Articles <br />Crime prevention or related articles that appear in the local newspapers regarding the <br />neighborhood should be sent to the Crime Prevention Unit for filing. <br />
