DNR Waters <br />August 29, 20fl l <br />To: Torn Hovey, Area Hydrologist <br />(651) 29744 <br />Spring Lake Water Levels, Anoka County <br />The level of Spring Lake in Mounds View had declined to below 899 feet in August <br />was close to the lake level last recorded in 1991. Residents of the area expressed cot <br />the three foot lake level decline during a relatively short period. Climate and ground <br />withdrawal have been evaluated as possible influences on Spring Lake. <br />Spring Lake, LaMe Lake, Hash Lake, Netta Lake, water table obwell 2010 near Lino <br />water table obwell 2014 near Ham Lake showed a similar pattern of water level fluctt <br />during the period. (see attachments). The water level in Spring Lake iose 2.5 <br />feet, Laddie Lake rose three feet, Ham Lake rose 3.5 feet, Netta Lake rose three feet, the water <br />table in we112010 rosy; one foot, and the water table in well 2014 rose four feet from th lowest <br />levels seen the previous fall. <br />QM <br />
