d) Park Sign Replacement Program Update — one half of the park signs are budgeted to be upgraded in <br />2007 and the other half in 2008. Pictures of the signs will be presented at the meeting. <br />e) Silver View Pond Aerator — Two aerators have been installed at Silver View Pond. The aerators are <br />currently being operated on a temporary basis is to deterinine their effectiveness. $5,000 has been <br />included in the proposed 2008 Budget to run electrical lines to these aerators. <br />f) Spring Lake — A member of the proposed Spring Lake Owners Association approached Staff on August <br />6, 2007 regarding submitting a permit for weed removal within the lake for 2007. Staff contacted Neil <br />Vanderboshen of the DNR in regards to submitting a permit application. Mr. Vanderboshen stated not <br />to submit the permit citing that the deadline for submittal was August 1, 2007. Mr. Vanderboshen also <br />informed Staff that it was late in the year for this treatment — this type of permit expires on September <br />I". This permit is for "recreational access". Mr. Vanderboshen stated that the area near the fishing was <br />already treated. <br />g) Parks Promotional Video — A suggestion has been made to re -execute the parks video in the summer <br />when there is activity (softball, baseball, etc) going ori. The City has hired a full time cable coordinator, <br />Vanessa Van Alstine. Ms. Van Alstine is schedule to start employment with the City on August 29th. <br />Once settled into her new position, Ms. Van Alstine can assist in the creation of this video. The <br />Commission may want to consider discussing the details of this video at this meeting. <br />h) Bethlehem Baptist Church has donated $6,632.50 to the City of Mounds View Parks and Recreation <br />Department. These funds will be deposited into to the Park Dedication Fund. <br />i) Any Other Reports? <br />Request for future agenda items/other business <br />Possible Items for September 27`x' Agenda <br />
