<br /> <br />√f. Pickleball: Prindle was going to try and promote through Parks Program to get a sense of how kids liked it. <br /> <br />√g. Park Tour: Lakeside, Woodcrest, Random, Silverview, and Lambert Parks were toured. <br /> <br />Woodcrest: 1) Level border of playground. 2) Add wood chips to playground. Clearing of trees has helped with visibility Trees have been cleared and wood chips will be delivered July <br /> 9. Chips were a week late, they have been placed at Woodcrest, Oakwood, MVCC, S.V., Greenfield, <br /> <br />Lambert: 1) roof damage needs to be fixed and eventually replaced 2) discussed repair or replacing building as not efficient for heating and cooling 3) basketball backboard needs adjusting. <br /> City staff is working with Eagle Scout to repair roof section this summer…… This roof project has been done . <br /> <br /> <br />h. Off-leash dog park. Where could we put one in Mounds View? Oakwood, north of Hillview? Arden, behind compost? Oakwood north on Quincy along freeway? Need to fence, chip, and gate <br /> areas? Commissioners were encouraged to see Fridley dog park and tour suggested areas in MV before the meeting. Continue to discuss. Encourage residents to attend discussion. Can <br /> we put notice on City lighted board before next month’s meeting inviting interested residents to attend? <br /> <br />6. New Business: <br />a. Lambert building replacement fast tracked per city tour discussion. Report on Hillview and Groveland size and will it fit at Lambert? <br /> Lambert building 33’x33’ but space enough for existing building <br /> Hillview building 21’x52’ <br /> Groveland building 22’x56’ <br /> Consider glass block window or sky light as alternatives for natural lighting do to location of ice rinks and ball fields to deter hockey puck or baseball window damages. <br /> <br /> b. Revisit fee schedule for field and park building rental <br /> Need to consider: classification of organizations, defining “event,” and who is getting the “free <br /> event” per week so individual coaches are not reserving the field rotating weeks so as to get them for free. Work on with full Commission and MVCC representation in August. NEED COPIES <br /> FOR AUGUST MEETING. <br /> <br /> c. Bethlehem Baptist Church contribution to city. Anything the Commission would like to put in for requests? Ideas include: disc golf tee boxes, site plans for Lambert building <br /> ($15K), Hillview hockey rink resurfacing for rollerblading in summer ($10K), aerator at Silverview installation, path repair at Silverview, Soccer goals at Oakwood Par ($4K). Kroeger <br /> motion to present suggested ideas to BBC committee. 2nd by Long. Motion Passed 5-0 <br /> <br />7. Commissioner/Staff Reports: <br /> <br />Park Sign Replacement Program Update: <br />ALRC Biking Committee—Darren Peterson is a representative for that committee. <br />Lions Lakeside Park Skatepark and playground update-Kroeger <br />Festival in the Park Parade: About ½ of the Commissioners will be able to attend. Need to bring a piece of equipment to carry. Ideas include rollerblades with hockey stick, soccer <br /> ball, baseball bat/cap, Frisbee (disc), basketball. <br />Any Other Reports?
