Streets and utilities Committee Recommendations <br />July 7, 2008 <br />Page 8 <br /> <br />14, 2008 Neighborhood Meeting requesting feedback related to the access. The <br />response was split with half wanting to remove the access and half wanting to <br />keep it open (see attached Feedback Form Summary Table). <br /> <br />Since the non-standard intersection is not needed for traffic volumes, the <br />Committee believes the issue is safety versus convenience. Keeping the access <br />open would also be a safety issue for the future County Road 10 trailway. For <br />these reasons, the Committee recommends (by a 5 for closing and 1 abstention <br />vote) that the existing access be closed and that Fairchild Avenue and Hillview <br />Road be connected at this location by means of a curve (see figure below). <br />
