Motion Passed 7-0 <br /> Motion by Palm, 2nd by Long to request that if the City Council were to move forward with the proposed changes in parking at Hillview Park both on Hillview Road and/or Greenwood Drive, <br /> that per city code Section 203.5 subd 3 and 4, referring to Section 1204.02, the Park Dedication Funds not be used. Revisit fee schedule for field and park building rental <br /> Direct MVCC staff to meet with IBL and SBL to schedule field rental only through the league representatives, not individual coaches, for practices and games. This will hopefully eliminate <br /> teams doubling up on the free event/practice nights per week. Reevaluate in fall of 2009. <br /> <br />c. Lambert building replacement fast tracked per city tour discussion. <br />There is space enough to put a building duplicate of Groveland park at Lambert Park at a size of 22’ x 56’ <br /> Consider glass block window or sky lighting as alternatives for natural lighting do to location of ice rinks and ball fields to deter hockey puck or baseball window damages. Discussed <br /> lexan for windows. Concerned with scratches. <br /> Staff was directed to investigate cost of site plan. It is estimated to be $8,000-9,000 if they did not have to make modifications to the plan. This would get us to the point of sending <br /> it out for bids. <br /> <br />Motion by Kroeger, 2nd by Peterson, to move forward with getting a site plan, including outdoor lighting for a new Lambert Park Building using the existing Groveland building footprint, <br /> estimated to cost $8,000-9,000 from the Park Dedication Funds. Motion Passed 7-0 <br /> <br />6. New Business: <br /> a. Park Improvement Plan-Review <br /> Reviewed PIP with “done” items. Made changes moving 2008 not done items to 2009. Commissioners Kunz and Kroeger will revise with done and dropped items for final review in November. <br /> <br />7. Commissioner/Staff Reports: <br />ALRC Biking Committee—Darren Peterson is a representative for that committee. No reports. <br />b) We had some vandalism on the Hillview playground, someone broke a piece off the structure. We have ordered the part and it will be repaired ASAP. It does not present a hazard by <br /> being absent
