TMeeting Date: September 9, 2024 <br /> enda��/ Type of Business: Consent Agenda <br /> Administrator review: <br /> City of Mounds View Staff Report <br /> To: Honorable Mayor and City Council <br /> From: Rayla Sue Ewald, Human Resource Director <br /> Item Title/Subject: Resolution 9977 Approving the Status Change of Barbara <br /> Benesch from Part-Time (20-29 hours) to Regular Part-Time <br /> (30 hours with benefits) Effective October 1, 2024 <br /> Introduction: <br /> Executive Administrative Assistant Barbara Benesch currently is scheduled to work a part-time <br /> schedule of 20-29 hours per week. Ms. Benesch continuously dedicates time to the City, <br /> completing projects and working with the City Administrator; sharing her wealth of knowledge and <br /> City history to staff. Ms. Benesch has been employed with the City of Mounds View since 1978. <br /> Ms. Benesch retired in 2016 and returned from retirement when the previous City Administrator <br /> and their Assistant resigned. Ms. Benesch has stayed with the City to work with City Administrator <br /> Zikmund since 2017. <br /> Discussion: <br /> During 2025 budget discussions, City Council supported Ms. Benesch being moved from part- <br /> time to regular part-time status and receiving benefits. Due to dedication, knowledge, and hours <br /> devoted by Ms. Benesch and the necessity of benefits all individuals are required to carry, City <br /> Council supported staffs request to begin the transition to regular part-time effective October 1, <br /> 2024. <br /> When approved by City Council, Ms. Benesch will be eligible to receive City insurance benefits <br /> pro-rated at 75% (based on 30 hours per week).
