PUBLIC COMMENT <br /> 8 <br /> 9 Mayor Lindstrom encouraged the public to speak with kindness and respect when addressing the <br /> 10 City Council during Public Comment. <br /> 11 <br /> 12 Sharon Kirscher, 8406 Red Oak Drive, thanked the City for all of their efforts on Festival in the <br /> 13 Park. She stated a lot of people attended activities over the weekend and she appreciated how <br /> 14 smoothly all of the events went. <br /> 15 <br /> 16 8. COUNCIL BUSINESS <br /> 17 A. Amend the Mounds View City Code and Fee Schedule to Allow for Electrical <br /> 18 Permits and Inspections to be Handled by the City instead of the State of MN <br /> 19 and Approval of an Electrical Inspection Agreement with Nykanen <br /> 20 Inspections LLC. <br /> 21 1) Second Reading and Approval of Ordinance 1015, Amending Title XV <br /> 22 Land Usage, Chapter 150.050 of the Mounds View City Code entitled, <br /> 23 Building Regulations; Construction; Permit Requirements. ROLL <br /> 24 CALL VOTE <br /> 25 <br /> 26 <br /> 27 Assistant City Administrator Beeman requested the Council adopt an Ordinance that would amend <br /> 28 Title XV Land Usage, Chapter 150.050 of the Mounds View City Code entitled, Building <br /> 29 Regulations; Construction;Permit Requirements. He reported this item was introduced to the City <br /> 30 Council at their August 12 meeting and a public hearing was held. He commented further on the <br /> 31 request noting the proposed changes would speed up electrical permit and inspection efficiencies <br /> 32 for Mounds View residents. <br /> 33 <br /> 34 Mayor Lindstrom requested further information on how same day service would occur. Andrew <br /> 35 Nykanen described the process residents would follow to request an inspection through his <br /> 36 website. <br /> 37 <br /> 38 MOTION/SECOND: Gunn/Meehlhause.
