Resolution 9974, Water Meter Replacement Project — Change Order <br /> 10 Approval. <br /> 11 <br /> 12 Public Works/Parks and Recreation Director Peterson requested the Council approve a change <br /> 13 order for the water meter replacement project.He explained the contract needs to be extended with <br /> 14 Winwater Water Works and Keystone to continue the water meter change out program. He <br /> 15 explained the prices within the contract would remain as is. It was staff s hope all meters would <br /> 16 be replaced by October 31, 2024. <br /> 17 <br /> 18 Council Member Clark questioned when residents would begin being charged the quarterly fee <br /> 19 from the City. Public Works/Parks and Recreation Director Peterson stated the fee would begin <br /> 20 this Friday, unless residents have an appointment in place with Keystone. Finance Director <br /> 21 Bauman reported this fee would appear on residents' water bill and will continue until the water <br /> 22 meter is changed out. <br /> 23 <br /> 24 Council Member Meehlhause asked when water meter installations began. Public Works/Parks <br /> 25 and Recreation Director Peterson reported this began in late April of 2024. <br /> 26 <br /> 27 Mayor Lindstrom stated as a procrastinator, he had his water meter replaced last week and it took <br /> 28 the contractor about 15 minutes to complete the task. <br /> 29 <br /> 30 MOTION/SECOND: Meehlhause/Gunn. She reported she sat at a table at the Festival to provide the <br /> 40 public with information on the Tribute Park and she appreciated the support she received from <br /> 41 residents. <br /> 42 <br /> 43 Council Member Gunn explained the SBM Fire Department would be holding a first aid and CPR <br /> 44 training session at Fire Station 3 on Tuesday, August 27. <br /> 45 <br />
