RESOLUTION 9972 <br />CITY OF MOUNDS VIEW <br />COUNTY OF RAMSEY <br />STATE OF MINNESOTA <br />APPROVING THE PURCHASE OF A JOHN DEERE 4075R UTILITY TRACTOR WITH <br />IMPLEMENTS <br />WHEREAS, the City has utility vehicles that are utilized for the Public Works Department <br />to perform necessary maintenance, and; <br />WHEREAS, the City Council understands the need for Public Works to properly operate <br />various tasks such as snow removal operations, mowing of grounds and around storm water <br />ponds; and <br />WHEREAS, City Council approved resolution 9421, purchasing a John Deere 5090M <br />Utility Tractor from the State Of Minnesota Cooperative Purchasing Venture from Frontier Ag & <br />Turf of Columbus, MN for a cost of $115,292.00; and <br />WHEREAS, Staff had come to realize this tractor was too large to meet the needs of the <br />Public Works Department and met with the City Administrator to recommend trading it in for a <br />smaller utility tractor; and <br />WHERAS Frontier Ag & Turf provided a cost proposal for a New 4075R John Deere Utility <br />Tractor for a total cost of $81,155.46, also included in the proposal was a trade value of the 5090M <br />Utility Tractor for $77,500.00. <br />WHEREAS, Staff is recommending the City Council approve the trading in of the 5090M <br />tractor and the purchase of a new 4075 R Utility Tractor for a cost of $3,655.46. <br />NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED by the City Council of the City of Mounds View, <br />Ramsey County, Minnesota as follows: <br />1. Approves the purchase of a 4075 R Utility Tractor from Frontier Ag & Turf of <br />Columbus MN not including sales tax or license fees for $81,155.46. <br />2. The trade in of the 5090M Utility Tractor for $77,500.00. <br />3.
