Mounds View City Council August 26, 2024 <br />Regular Meeting Page 4 <br /> <br />services. Public Works/Parks and Recreation Director Peterson indicated these were the only three <br />vendors that provided services with a reclamite product. He explained it was his hope this type of <br />work would go onto the State bid process in the future, which would mean the City would not have <br />to go out for bid for future seal coating projects. <br /> <br />MOTION/SECOND: Meehlhause/Cermak. To Waive the Reading and Adopt Resolution 9973, <br />Accepting the Proposal from Corrective Asphalt Materials for the 2024 Seal Coating Project. <br /> <br /> Ayes – 5 Nays – 0 Motion carried. <br /> <br />D. Resolution 9974, Water Meter Replacement Project – Change Order <br />Approval. <br /> <br />Public Works/Parks and Recreation Director Peterson requested the Council approve a change <br />order for the water meter replacement project. He explained the contract needs to be extended with <br />Winwater Water Works and Keystone to continue the water meter change out program. He <br />explained the prices within the contract would remain as is. It was staff’s hope all meters would <br />be replaced by October 31, 2024. <br /> <br />Council Member Clark questioned when residents would begin being charged the quarterly fee <br />from the City. Public Works/Parks and Recreation Director Peterson stated the fee would begin <br />this Friday, unless residents have an appointment in place with Keystone. Finance Director <br />Bauman reported this fee would appear on residents’ water bill and will continue until the water <br />meter is changed out. <br /> <br />Council Member Meehlhause asked when water meter installations began. Public Works/Parks <br />and Recreation Director Peterson reported this began in late April of 2024. <br /> <br />Mayor Lindstrom stated as a procrastinator, he had his water meter replaced last week and it took <br />the contractor about 15 minutes to complete the task. <br /> <br />MOTION/SECOND: Meehlhause/Gunn. To Waive the Reading and Adopt Resolution 9974, <br />Water Meter Replacement Project – Change Order Approval. <br /> <br /> Ayes – 5 Nays – 0 Motion carried. <br /> <br />9. REPORTS <br />A. Reports of Mayor and Council. <br /> <br />Council Member Gunn thanked the Festival in the Park Committee for the excellent job they did <br />in planning this year’s celebration. She reported she sat at a table at the Festival to provide the <br />public with information on the Tribute Park and she appreciated the support she received from <br />residents. <br /> <br />Council Member Gunn explained the SBM Fire Department would be holding a first aid and CPR <br />training session at Fire Station 3 on Tuesday, August 27.
