RESOLUTION 9987 <br /> CITY OF MOUNDS VIEW <br /> COUNTY OF RAMSEY <br /> STATE OF MINNESOTA <br /> APPROVAL OF SERVICE CONTRACTS WITH ARCHITECT MECHANICAL INC. FOR <br /> HEATING VENTILATION AND AIR CONDITIONING (HVAC) AT THE PUBLIC WORKS AND <br /> PARK BUILDING(S) AND WATER TREATMENT FACILITIES <br /> WHEREAS, the City owns thirteen separate facilities with heating, ventilation and air <br /> conditioning (HVAC) equipment, which require more complicated contractor assistance with <br /> preventative maintenance to allow reliable, efficient and safe operation while providing <br /> comfortable indoor air climates; and <br /> WHEREAS, Architect Mechanical Inc. had been performing HVAC maintenance for Public <br /> Works, Park Buildings and Water Treatment Facilities since 2007; and <br /> WHEREAS, Staff, after careful consideration, is recommending Architect Mechanical Inc. <br /> perform HVAC and equipment maintenance at the Public Works and Park Building(s) and Water <br /> Treatment Facilities. <br /> WHEREAS, Staff received a quote from Architect Mechanical Inc.: <br /> Year 1: $8,250.00 annually <br /> Year 2: $8,662.00 annually <br /> Year 3: $9,075.00 annually <br /> Year 4: $9,570.00 annually <br /> Year 5: $10,048.00 annually <br /> WHEREAS, Public Works Staff recommends that Architect Mechanical Inc. be contracted <br /> for HVAC and equipment preventative maintenance on municipal buildings. <br /> NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED by the City Council of the City of Mounds View, <br /> Ramsey County, Minnesota as follows: <br /> 1. Approves the service agreement with Architect Mechanical Inc. to perform HVAC and <br /> equipment maintenance at Public Works, Park Buildings and Water Treatment <br /> Facilities. <br /> 2. The Director of Public Works is hereby authorized and directed to execute all <br /> appropriate documents to effectuate the actions contemplated by this resolution. <br /> 3.
