2024 Quarter 3 Report: Sgt. Schultes (K9 Grizz) and Officer Aase (K9 Ace) <br /> Assist Other Agency-Roseville PD-2"d Degree Assault (24005118) <br /> On 7/2/24 at 0456 hours Officer Aase and K9 Ace were requested by Roseville PD for a <br /> K9 Deployment at 2700 block of Herschel St N. Roseville Officers were currently out on <br /> a fresh assault involving a knife. It was learned the suspect was barricaded in the <br /> apartment and refusing to exit. The suspect was known to Roseville Officers and was <br /> known to fight flee from police. Officer Aase and K9 Ace arrived on scene and met up <br /> with other officers staged outside of the apartment. Negotiations were in the works at <br /> this time. Officer Aase gave multiple K9 warnings to get the suspect to exit peacefully <br /> and surrender. After approximately thirty minutes, the suspect surrendered to officers <br /> and he was taken into custody. <br /> Assist Other Agency (24005213) <br /> On 7/5/2024 at 0332 hours, New Brighton officers were dispatched to the 2000 block of <br /> County Road E West for an unwanted party. The caller said a male was at the address <br /> and he was not welcome. He reportedly had a felony MN Department of Corrections <br /> warrant, with a history of weapons, assault, fleeing, and other charges. Officers arrived <br /> on scene and observed a male matching the description flee from a vehicle on foot into <br /> a wooded area. After a request for mutual aid was made, Sgt. Schultes and K9 Grizz <br /> responded to assist. K9 Grizz deployed on lead and a track was started for the male. <br /> K9 Grizz tracked the male to the northern border of the perimeter, where he showed <br /> significant interest indicating the male had likely been hiding there. The male was not <br /> located after an extensive search. He was arrested days later in another jurisdiction. <br /> Building Search (24005502) <br /> On 7/17/2024 at 0659 hours, Mounds View officers were dispatched to a church on the <br /> 5400 block of Adams Street. The caller reported seeing an unknown person in the <br /> church shortly after arriving to do some volunteer work. The person went out of sight <br /> and they did not know where they went. Sgt. Schultes deployed K9 Grizz on lead. <br /> After making announcements with no response, they started searching the building. K9 <br /> Grizz searched the entire building and did not locate anyone inside. The caller was <br /> advised it was safe to go back inside. <br />
