RESOLUTION 10008 <br /> CITY OF MOUNDS VIEW <br /> COUNTY OF RAMSEY <br /> STATE OF MINNESOTA <br /> AUTHORIZING THE PURCHASE OF A 2024 BANDIT 12XP <br /> INTIMIDATOR WOOD CHIPPER <br /> WHEREAS, one of the many responsibilities Public Works facilitates is tree removal in City parks, <br /> right of ways, facility grounds, and natural areas; and <br /> WHEREAS, once a tree is removed or trimmed the best management practice is to chip the branches <br /> and tree debris on site as a preventative measure to keep invasive insects or tree diseases from potentially <br /> spreading; and <br /> WHEREAS, having the ability to chip and dispose of tree debris in house will help to lower disposals <br /> costs; and <br /> WHEREAS, a budget adjustment of $49,165.00 is required for this purchase in the Vehicle & <br /> Equipment Fund, account, 460-4360-7030; and <br /> WHEREAS, Staff has obtained a quote for new 2024 Bandit 12xp Intimidator Chipper from CPV <br /> approved contractor, Tri-State Bobcat of Little Canada MN, for $49,165.00 including shipping. <br /> NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED by the City Council of the City of Mounds View, Ramsey <br /> County, Minnesota as follows: <br /> 1. Public Works Staff is authorized to purchase one 2024 Bandit 12xp Intimidator Chipper at a cost <br /> of$49,165.00 including shipping charges from Tri-State Bobcat of Little Canada MN. <br /> 2. Approves a 2024 Budget Adjustment of$49,165.00 in the Vehicle and Equipment Fund, account <br /> 460-4360-7030. <br /> 3. The Finance Director is authorized to complete the necessary budget adjustments to the 2024 <br /> budget for the purchase of the chipper. <br /> 4.
