RESOLUTION NO 10023 <br />CITY OF MOUNDS VIEW <br />COUNTY OF RAMSEY <br />STATE OF MINNESOTA <br />AUTHORIZING RECRUITMENT PROCESS FOR PUBLIC WORKS LEAD STREETS <br />& STORMWATER WORKER POSITION AND APPROVE REVISED JOB <br />DESCRIPTION <br />WHEREAS, the Public Works Street Lead has submitted their resignation effective <br />January 10, 2025, creating a vacancy within the department; and <br />WHEREAS, the job description for this position covers both the Lead Parks Worker <br />and Lead Streets Worker. The job description was revised with the job title changed to <br />Lead Parks Worker or Lead Streets & Stormwater Worker. Additional certifications were <br />added to the position, however does not change the grade assigned during the <br />compensation study; and <br />WHEREAS, the Public Works Department will have a need to fill this full-time, non- <br />exempt position under the Public Works Collective Bargaining Unit; and <br />WHEREAS, Staff would like to start the process of advertising for the Lead Streets <br />& Stormwater Worker position; and <br />WHEREAS, the current Public Works Collective Bargaining Unit requires job <br />vacancies be posted internally for five (5) working days to allow current bargaining unit <br />members to be considered for the vacancy before the job is advertised to the general <br />public; and <br />WHEREAS, only after the vacancy is posted for five (5) working days and no <br />response or qualified candidates are received will the vacancy be posted externally; and <br />WHEREAS, the Lead Streets & Stormwater Worker position is a Grade 6 with the <br />following wages for 2024: <br />Grade 6 - 2024 <br />4% <br />3.75% <br />3.75% <br />3.75% <br />3.5% <br />3.25% <br />3% <br />2.75% <br />Step 1 <br />Step 2 <br />Step 3 <br />Step 4 <br />Step 5 <br />Step 6 <br />Step 7 <br />Step 8 <br />Ste 9 <br />$31.93 <br />$33.21 <br />$34.46 <br />$35.75 <br />$37.09 <br />$38.39 <br />$39.64 <br />$40.83 <br />$41.95 <br />NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED that the Mounds View City Council <br />authorizes Staff to advertise for the upcoming vacancy for the Position of Lead Streets & <br />Stormwater Worker. <br />FATTEST: <br />Adopted this 9t",day of December, 2024. <br />h Undsfrom, Mayor <br />A'�' ), <br />Nyle ,Amu , Ci y Administrator <br />tl 1iC 31 ulA ii41� 4 iL ti � l ;i U!1 <br />
