9.3 Electronic waste must be properly disposed of, either through special arrangements <br /> with a licensed hauler, hauling of electronic waste by the resident to a legitimate <br /> electronic waste drop off facility, take back service at a retailer, or other approved <br /> disposal method. An additional fee may be charged by the hauler for this service. <br /> 9.4 Each owner of a building containing more than four (4) dwelling units shall provide <br /> for bulky waste services for all units. <br /> A. Adequate provision on the property must be made by the owner for the convenient <br /> and proper disposal of bulky materials by residents. Bulky materials placed by <br /> residents for disposal shall be collected by a licensed hauler at least weekly. <br /> B. Provision must be made by the owner for differential processing and disposal of <br /> the types of bulky waste generated by residents, including burnable bulky waste, <br /> recyclable bulky waste (appliances) and electronic waste. <br /> 9.5 Each owner of a building containing more than four (4) dwelling units shall prohibit <br /> the disposal of household hazardous waste, or other prohibited waste in garbage or <br /> recycling containers, and shall provide educational information to all residents in the <br /> building on the proper transportation and disposal of household hazardous waste. <br /> 10 Commercial Solid Waste Standards <br /> 10.1 Each business or commercial property must provide for the separation of designated <br /> recyclables, bulky waste and other items designated in these standards from garbage, <br /> and shall ensure the appropriate processing or disposal of all solid waste in <br /> accordance with Minnesota Statute, I I5A.151, Minnesota Pollution Control Agency <br /> regulations and Ramsey County policies. <br /> 10.2 Each business or commercial property shall have weekly garbage dumpster or <br /> equivalent service,provided by a commercial hauler licensed by the City. <br /> A. The dumpsters shall be of a minimum capacity of one cubic yard, covered, and of <br /> an approved sanitary type with the proper attachments for lifting onto garbage <br /> trucks. The dumpsters shall be water-tight and rat and vermin-proof. If garbage <br /> carts are used, there shall be adequate capacity in size and/or number of carts to <br /> contain all waste generated between collections. <br /> B. Garbage shall be removed at least once weekly, and more often if garbage carts or <br /> dumpsters become full. Garbage shall be transported and disposed of in <br /> accordance with state laws and rules and county policies regarding licensed <br /> disposal and processing. <br /> 10.3 Each business or commercial property shall provide for recycling services for all <br /> units. <br /> A. Adequate containers shall be provided by the owner or by the recyclables hauler <br /> for all recyclable materials. Containers shall be stored on the premises in a <br /> location that is convenient for building tenants to place recyclables and for haulers <br /> to collect recyclables.
