Mounds View EDA November 25, 2024 <br />Regular Meeting Page 2 <br /> <br />Assistant City Administrator Beeman requested the EDA approve three appointments to the 1 <br />Economic Development Commission. He explained all three applicants were reapplying for the 2 <br />open positions. He reported the EDA had another recent resignation and staff would be posting for 3 <br />this resident vacancy. 4 <br /> 5 <br />MOTION/SECOND: Clark/Cermak. To Waive the Reading and Adopt Resolution 24-EDA-375, 6 <br />Appointing Members to the Economic Development Commission to fill the three vacancies. 7 <br /> 8 <br />President Meehlhause reported Jason Helgemoe (business), Jim Freichels (business), and Gary 9 <br />Stevenson (resident) were being recommended for reappointment to the EDA. 10 <br /> 11 <br /> Ayes – 4 Nays – 0 Motion carried. 12 <br /> 13 <br />8. REPORTS 14 <br /> 15 <br />President Meehlhause asked when the Mounds View Business Council would meet next. Assistant 16 <br />City Administrator Beeman reported this group would meet next on Thursday, December 19 at the 17 <br />Mounds View Community Center at 8:00 AM. 18 <br /> 19 <br />Executive Director Zikmund asked if the EDA would support having the intern move to full time 20 <br />hours in order to administer the Silver View and Ardan Park projects, noting this position would 21 <br />be partially covered by grant funding. The EDA supported this recommendation. 22 <br /> 23 <br />9. NEXT EDA MEETING: Monday, December 9, 2024 at 6:00 p.m. 24 <br /> 25 <br />10.
