Mounds View City Council October 14, 2019 <br />Regular Meeting Page 8 <br />1 Council Member Gunn commented there were three separate agencies available to help <br />2 homeowners with furnace expenses or funding to pay utility bills, if a homeowner were in need <br />3 of assistance. She reviewed these agencies and the services that could be provided and noted this <br />4 information would be available at City Hall. <br />5 <br />6 Council Member Gunn reported she attended the Taste of Northeast event and she was pleased to <br />7 see the large number of people at this event. <br />8 <br />9 Council Member Meehlhause reported he also attended the Taste of Northeast. He noted he <br />10 would be attending three meetings with NYFS in the coming weeks. <br />11 <br />12 Council Member Meehlhause invited all residents to attend the Mounds View Lions Spaghetti <br />13 Dinner on Thursday, October 24th at the Kraus Hartig VFW in Spring Lake Park. <br />14 <br />15 Mayor Mueller stated the Minnesota Women in City Government met on Friday, October 11th <br />16 She noted this group was planning a women's suffrage event for the spring of 2020. <br />17 <br />18 Mayor Mueller reported an election would occur on Tuesday, November 5th and encouraged all <br />19 residents to vote. <br />20 <br />21 Mayor Mueller explained the Council attended a ribbon cutting ceremony for The Boulevard <br />22 apartment building on the corner of Groveland Road and Mounds View Boulevard. She stated <br />23 over 30 families have moved into the building already and noted the building would be fully <br />24 rented by the first of November. <br />25 <br />26 B. Reports of Staff. <br />27 <br />28 City Administrator Zikmund explained he had a conversation with the City of Blaine's new City <br />29 Manager Michelle Wolfe. He reported he also had a conversation with the new Ramsey County <br />30 Administrator where the two discussed access issues concerns along Mounds View Boulevard. <br />31 <br />32 C. Reports of City Attorney. <br />33 <br />34 There was nothing additional to report. <br />35 <br />36 10.
