Anderson Construction
Company and Kraus Anderson Development Corporation, we have prepared
revised grading and drainage plans and performed new calculations for the
above ponding area. Changes are as follows:
1. The new plans will eliminate any excavation work in the pond
area to the south of the'existing ditch and along the west
property line of the Scottland Green apartment complex. This
is done in order to prevent soil movement on the apartment
lands and also to preserve vegation in that area.
2. The tributary drainage area considered to flow to the pond
at final development is reduced from 266 acres to 203 acres.
Areas eliminated from the tributary drainage area include
the O'Neill property to the east, the City hall area, and
the shopping center north of Highway 10. Residential and
commercial lands to the north of County Road I and resi-
dential lands west of Silver Lake Road are assumed to drain
to the Oak Lake Park ponding area. The tributary drainage
area boundary is shown on a drawing included with our
calculations.
3. The outlet structure is slightly modified in order to reduce
discharge from the ponding area for the 100 year runoff event
from 15.0 cfs to 12.5 cfs. This is done by narrowing the
weir overflow by about 1.0 foot.
Work is presently completed on all areas to be excavated to elevation
889 or deeper as shown on the original submittal drawings.
