ELEVATION CONTROLS <br />Following are elevation controls used in selecting the control and <br />100 year pond elevations for Scottland Green Pond. <br />a. Invert of driveway culvert near the east side of the Scottland <br />Green Apartments = 891.5. <br />b. Ice elevation (water level) in ditch downstream from Scottland <br />Green Apartment east driveway = 892.4. <br />c. Low basement elevation in Scottland Green Apartments = 897.72. <br />d. Overflow elevation of Long Lake Road about � mile south of <br />the Scottland Green Apartments. - 893.2. <br />The.:normal pond level selected of 892.0 was somewhat higher than <br />the present culvert invert to the east of the apartments. It should <br />be noted that some ditch cleanout must be done south of County Road H-2 <br />in order for this elevation to function as the control level (see the <br />above ice elevation). <br />The 100 year maximum pond level _of 895.7 will provide 2 feet of free- <br />board above the pond to the low basement of the Apartment complex. <br />E. POND VOLUME DISC4ARGE RELATIONSHIPS <br />In table form and by graph, the relationship between volume of storage <br />in the ponding area and required discharge is shown for a range of storage <br />values. The previously recommended storage amount that is shown on the <br />plans is 68.7 acre feet. This would require a discharge of about 5.2 cfs. <br />(Normal level = 892.0, 100 year level = 895.7). <br />
