9.0 ADMINISTRATION <br />9.1 REVIEW AND ADOPTION PROCESS <br />Review and adoption of this LSWMP will follow the procedure outlined in Minnesota Statutes 10313.235: <br />After consideration but before adoption by the governing body, each local government unit shall <br />submit its water management plan to the watershed management organization[s] for review for <br />consistency with the watershed plan. The organization[s] shall have 60 days to complete its <br />review. ' <br />'Concurrently with its submission of its local water management plan to the watershed <br />management organization, each local government unit shall submit its water management plan <br />to the Metropolitan Council for review and comment. The council shall have 45 days to review <br />and comment upon the local plan. The council's 45-day review period shall run concurrently with <br />the 60-day review period by the watershed management organization. The Metropolitan Council <br />shall submit its comments to the watershed management organization and shall send a copy of <br />its comments to the local government unit' <br />After approval of the local plan by the watershed management organization[s], the local <br />government unit shall adopt and implement its plan within 120 days, and shall amend its official <br />controls accordingly within 160 days ' <br />9.2 PLAN AMENDMENTS AND FUTURE UPDATES <br />This Local Surface Water Management Plan will be incorporated into the City's 2040 Comprehensive Plan <br />update and will be applicable until 2028, at which time an updated plan will be required. This timeline <br />marks a change from previous updates; previously, Local Surface Water Management Plan updates were <br />done when the watershed districts or watershed management organizations updated their Watershed <br />Management Plans. Periodic amendments may be required to incorporate changes in local practices. <br />Changes to the RCWD Watershed Management Plan may necessitate revisions to this plan.
