to purchase these we would like to award the bid to <br />Carlson Tractor Equipment. <br />Motion/Second: Wuori/Quick to approve the purchase <br />from Carlson Tractor for $7,360.73. <br />5 ayes <br />0 nays <br />Motion Carried <br />Ulrich reported that Tractor/Boom Bids were in. All <br />bids were competitive. The Mathis Ferguson Bid did <br />not meet the bid requirements, therefore we are asking <br />that the second lowest bidder, Carlson Tractor <br />Equipment be considered. The main aspects of the bid <br />that were not met was the electrical system. The specs <br />were written that they would have to have a 70 amp <br />alternator and a single 800 cold cranking amp battery. <br />There was a discussion on whether or not the specs <br />should be met. Minetor stated that in the past the <br />City has bought non spec equipment and we have had <br />problems with them. The specs were written with a <br />thorough review of the different items available and <br />that's what the mechanic and public works people <br />felt was necessary to do the job. <br />5.
