Mounds View City Council December 26, 1990 <br />Regular Meeting Page Two <br />-------------------------------------------------------------------------- <br />• Councilmember Blanchard explained she requested <br />Items B and C be removed, as she is concerned with <br />salaries and benefits and would like to see them <br />applied in the same manner for all City employees. <br />Mr. Minetor explained how salary and benefit raises <br />were calculated. The public works contract is <br />slightly different than the police department, as <br />well as non-union staff. A 5~ increase overall is <br />proposed. He added the subject would be discussed <br />further under Item 8A of the agenda. <br />Mr. Minetor requested two items be added under Item <br />H, and off-sale license for Fedor's Market, and an <br />entertainment and amusement license for American <br />Amusement Arcade. <br />Motion/Second: Panne/Blanchard to approve Item H, <br />with the addition of the two licenses. <br />4 ayes 0 nays <br />Mayor Hankner closed the regular meeting and opened <br />the public hearing at 7:10 PM. <br />S Planning Technician Harrington explained the wetland <br />alteration permit request had been discussed at the <br />December 3rd agenda session. He reviewed the request <br />of Dailey Homes, Inc. for a wetland alteration permit <br />for the construction of a detached garage at 2341 <br />Oakwood Drive. <br />Mayor Hankner closed the public hearing and re- <br />opened the regular meeting at 7:14 PM. <br />Motion/Second: Panne/Blanchard to approve Resolution <br />No. 4024, approving a wetland alteration permit for <br />Dailey Homes, Inc. to construct a detached garage in <br />a wetland buffer zone, at 2341 Oakwood Drive, Planning <br />Case No. 318-90, and waive the reading. <br />4 ayes 0 nays <br />Mr. Minetor reviewed his memo of December 20th, <br />concerning negotiations with Teamsters Local #320 <br />regarding the union contract for police for 1991. <br />Councilmember Blanchard pointed out they had the <br />same situation last year, and the police union was <br />told them the Council needed the information ahead <br />of time. She suggested the City go back to the <br />Teamsters with direction to stay within a 5~ increase. <br />Motion Carried <br />6.
