Mounds View City Council January 8,. 1990 <br />Regular Meeting Page Eight <br />In preparing the proposed resolution,. Staff made the <br />assumption,, since the Council has approved similar <br />requests iri the past, and prepared the resolution as <br />approving the request. <br />Motion/Second: Quick/Paone to approve Resolution <br />No. 2585, approving a request by TJB B~~lders far a <br />waiver of the Highway 10 moratorium district <br />requirements,, and waive the reading. <br />5 eyes 0 nays <br />Clerk/Administrator Pauley reviewed the applicant's <br />proposal, noting the sign will be within Code <br />requirements. <br />Mr. Linke asked if there would be changable letters <br />on the board; as he is against that. <br />Clerk/Administrator Pauley replied there would be, <br />and they are allowed by Code. <br />Attorney Karney had no report. <br />• Police Chief Ramacher asked for approval to pur- <br />chase two 1990 Chevrolet squad cars. This is <br />within the budget. <br />Motion/Second: Quick/Blanchard to approve the pur- <br />chase of two 1990 Chevrolets from Viking Chevrolet,. <br />in the amount of $25,453.36 total. <br />5 ayes 0 nays <br />Councilmember Wuori asked the approximate cost of <br />painting and converting the cars to LP. <br />Police Chief Ramacher replied he wasn`t sure, but it <br />had been budgeted for, but is not included iri the <br />purchase price. He also reviewed the differences <br />experienced with propane versus unleaded fuel, noting <br />it is a savings to use propane. <br />Clerk/Administrator Pauley noted propane averages <br />70~ per gallon. <br />Motion Carried <br />12.
