Mounds View City Council June 11, 1990 <br />Regular Meeting Page Three <br />Planning Commission reviewed the request and discussed <br />a number of issues. They do recommend approval of <br />this request, defining the use as a furniture showroom. <br />Mayor Hankner noted an ordinance change would require <br />two readings and it would be 30-45 days after pub- <br />lication. <br />Jerry Linke, of Kraus Anderson, reviewed the plan of <br />the applicant for his business, and indicated where <br />it would be located in the shopping center. He <br />noted they have had many problems with the way the <br />zoning code is written and what is allowed and what <br />is not allowed. <br />Councilmember Paone stated that as long as it is not <br />a retail outlet sale, he has no problem with it. <br />Councilmember Wuori clarified that it will be a <br />retail outlet, but the inventory will be off site. <br />Mayor Hankner closed the public hearing and reopened <br />the regular meeting at 7:29 PM. <br />• Motion/Second: Paone/Wuori to have the first reading <br />of Ordinance No. 487, amending the Municipal Code of <br />Mounds View by amending Chapter 40 entitled "Zoning", <br />and waive the reading. <br />5 ayes 0 nays <br />Mayor Hankner closed the regular meeting and opened <br />the next public. hearing at 7:31 PM. <br />Clerk/Administrator Pauley noted the Ramsey County <br />Health Department had been asked to inspect each of <br />the on-sale intoxicating liquor establishments. <br />While the reports have :not been received by the <br />City yet, he believes all establishments passed. <br />The Fire Department and Police Department have <br />submitted their reports. Ramsey County was <br />contacted and advised there are no delinquent taxes <br />on any of the properties licensed for the sale of <br />intoxicating liquor in the City. A review was also <br />done of the current status of utility billings, and <br />all but Loose Ends are current. <br />Clerk/Administrator Pauley reported Staff would <br />recommend approval of the renewal of the on-sale <br />• intoxicating liquor license for Robert's Off 10. <br />Motion Carried <br />8.
