Mounds View City Council October 8, 1990 <br />Regular Meeting Page Four <br />Mr. Minetor advised he had checked out the references <br />on Mr. Winberg, and they had checked out well. <br />Motion/Second: Wuori/Quick to approve the hiring of <br />Roger Winberg as an intern at the rate of $7.50 per <br />hour, through December 31, 1990, contingent upon <br />his acceptance of the offer. <br />5 ayes 0 nays <br />Mr. Minetor explained the Council needs to make a <br />bid award on the recycling bins, so as to i~ot <br />default on the terms of the grant agreement. <br />Motion/Second: Blanchard/Wuori to approve the pur- <br />chase of the Shamrock RC2000 recycling bins. <br />5 ayes 0 nays <br />Attorney Karney had no report. <br />Motion Carried <br />11. Report of <br />Attorney <br />• Mr. Minetor reported a letter had been sent by Dick. 13. <br />Pellow's office to a number of residents in the City <br />with incorrect information. He explained Red Oak <br />Drive is a City street, not a County Street. A <br />meeting has been scheduled for October 16th to explain <br />the process for street widening. <br />Cota.n~ilmember Quick. questioned why Mr. Pellow used <br />the word "imperative"` in his letter. <br />Mayor Hankner stated a good deal of confusion has <br />resulted from that letter and suggested something <br />be put together for the residents of that area, <br />explaining MSA funds and their use, and that the City <br />is already committed through. 1993. <br />It was agreed to send a letter to the residents.., as, <br />well as put an article in the newsletter, the Focus. <br />and New Brighton Bulletin, and on the cable screen. <br />Mr. Minetor reported Clean-Up Day went smoothly, <br />with.. $4,059 received in revenues. <br />Mayor Hankner reported she had received a call from <br />someone concerned with. the charges being equal for <br />• varying sized loads.
