Mounds View City Council Page Five <br />Regular Meeting October 25, 1993 <br />MOTION/SECOND:, Quick/Blanchard to adopt Resolution No. 4437 <br />Supporting the Award of the County Hazardous Waste Management <br />Contract to Dynex Industries of Mounds View <br />Councilmember Wuori is a user of the facility and stated that Dynex <br />is a wonderful site with a very professional and courteous staff. <br />Wuori stated that she has never had to wait more than 2 to 3 minutes <br />before being helped. <br />• <br />VOTE: 5 ayes 0 nays Motion Carried <br />C. Consideration of Patching Contract Approving Pay Request of <br />$44,137.37 to Bituminous Consulting, Inc. to be Funded from Account <br />No. 100-4270-705 <br />Mike Ulrich, Public Works Supervisor, explained that the City <br />Council awarded the patching contract to Bituminous Consulting, Inc. <br />in August for a sum of $33,547.75. Ulrich stated that to complete a <br />more thorough job some repairs were extended resulting in a more <br />effective, efficient use of funds, considering that staff would not <br />have to repair questionable areas that could result in temporary <br />patching of potholes in the early spring and permanent patches <br />during the summer. Ulrich stated that the City had received <br />$50,150.00 in payment requests and anticipates approximately $7,000 <br />more. Ulrich explained that the City .has been very pleased with the <br />work performed by the contractor.. Ulrich further stated that the <br />contractor, where possible, fixed dips in front of driveways and <br />mailboxes. <br />Councilmember Trude had heard-from many residents what a good job <br />had been done on the streets. Trude stated the contractor spent a <br />lot of time and took a lot of care to complete an excellent job on <br />the roads. <br />MOTION/SECOND: Trude/Quick to Approve Patching Contract Pay Request <br />In the Amount of $44,137.37 to Bituminous Consulting, Inc. to be <br />Funded From Account No. 100-4270-705 <br />• <br />VOTE: 5 ayes 0 nays Motion Carried <br />D. Consideration of Agreement with GME for Geotechnical and <br />Hydrogeological Ana psis for the Proposed Golf Course Site <br />Samantha Orduno, City Administrator, explained that field <br />explorations, geotechnical testing and environmental site <br />assessments as well as work with the MPCA and EPA would be conducted <br />by GME to determine site readiness. Orduno stated that the cost for <br />these services would be $7500 which had already been allotted as <br />part of the costs of development of the golf course. <br />
