• <br />Mounds View City Council <br />Regular Meeting <br />Page Twelve <br />June 24, 1991 <br />Orduno also announced that City Hall would be closed <br />on July 4th and 5th in observation of the July 4th holiday. <br />Orduno passed out a copy of the Long Term Financial Plan <br />to the Councilmembers. She announced that this document <br />would be discussed at the July 1st Work Session. The <br />public is welcome and encouraged to attend. <br />Report of Staff: <br />Ric Minetor, Director of Public Works/City Engineer <br />reported to the Council that the candidate chosen <br />for the Engineering Intern position was, John Hanson. <br />Mr. Hanson will receive $7.50/hour and will receive <br />no benefits other than Worker's Compensation and PERA, <br />if applicable. Mr. Hanson's salary will be divided <br />between the water and sewer departments. <br />• <br />MOTION/SECOND: Quick/Wuori to approve the hiring of <br />John Hanson at $7.50 per hour with his salary being <br />split between the water and sewer departments. <br />Councilmember Blanchard asked if there was a position <br />description or defined jobs for him to do. <br />5 ayes 0 nays <br />Motion Carried <br />Minetor also explained to the City Council that the <br />Public Works Department always holds back the hiring of <br />one seasonal employee to begin later so that the City <br />can retain him later. Minetor proposed the hiring of <br />Doug Dazenski at a wage of $6.00 per hour split between <br />the water and sewer departments. <br />MOTION/SECOND: Quick/Blanchard to approve the hiring of <br />Doug Dazenski as a seasonal employee at a salary of $6.00 <br />per hour to be split between the water and sewer departments. <br />5 ayes 0 nays <br />Report of Attorney: <br />City Attorney Barney had no report. <br />Motion Carried <br />R <br />
