• PROCEEDINGS OF THE CTPY COUNCIL <br />CITY OF MOUNDS VIEW <br />RAMSEY COUNTY, MINNESOTA <br />Special Council Meeting <br />November 18, 1991 <br />Mounds View City Hall <br />2401 Hwy. 10, Mounds View, MN 55112 <br />CALL TO ORDER <br />The Mounds View City Council was called to order by Mayor Linke at 7:04 p.m. <br />on Monday, November 18, 1991. <br />ROLL CALL <br />MEMBERS PRESENT: Councilmembers Wuori, Quick, Blanchard, Rickaby and <br />Mayor Linke. <br />MEMBERS ABSENT: None <br />ALSO PRESENT: Samantha Orduno, City Administrator, Mary Saarion, <br />Parks, Recreation and Forestry Director, Don <br />Brager, Finance Director, and Ric Minetor, Director <br />of Public Works <br />Mayor Linke stated the purpose for calling the meeting to order was to <br />approve Resolution No. 4140 Approving Recycling Grant Request to Ramsey <br />County. <br />MOTION/SECOND: Wuori/Quick to adopt Resolution No. 4140 <br />Approving Recycling Grant Request to Ramsey County <br />Councilmember Wuori asked staff from where did the funds come? Public Works <br />Director, Ric Minetor, noted that a portion of the funds come from a <br />surcharge on property tax and that each City has a maximum amount of grant <br />money they can receive. <br />Councilmember Quick asked the length of time the program has been in <br />existence. City Administrator, Samantha Orduno, responded that the program <br />had been in effect for 3 to 4 years. <br />Councilmember Wuori asked the amount of funding that was available to Mounds <br />View and how .can the money be used. Mr. Minetor explained that the City had <br />available for the grant money share a total of $25,000. The budget included <br />the. grant application included a part-time recycling coordinator, monies <br />public seminars, promotional brochures and coordination activities with <br />other jurisdictions. <br />
