Samantha Orduno, City <br />Administrator, read the Consent Agenda. <br />MOTION/SECOND: Quick/Wuori to adopt the Consent Agenda as <br />presented. <br />VOTE: 5 ayes 0 nays Motion Carried <br />COUNCIL BUSINESS: <br />A. Paul Harrington reviewed Staff Report No. 92-321C regarding <br />a Request by Mounds View Antiques to Allow Off-Site Signage. <br />Mounds View Antiques is requesting Council approval for the location of <br />a sign on property other than that upon which their business is <br />being conducted. Harrington stated that the Minnesota Rental Sign <br />exceeds square footage as our code is written, but some of their signs <br />predate our ordinance. <br />Councilmember Blanchard asked if the applicant was in the <br />audience. Applicant was not in attendance. Councilmember Blanchard <br />stated that this item could not be worked on because the Council did <br />not have complete information as to the size and location of the <br />sign being requested. <br />Councilmember Wuori stated that if their signs exceed requirements, <br />at this time the signs be brought up to code. <br />Councilmember Blanchard stated that the Sands Apartments requested <br />signage that exceeded the code and would be placed on someone else's <br />property and was turned down by a previous Council. <br />Paul Harrington, City Planner, stated that there was no history that <br />could be found of the City allowing this signage. <br />
