Mounds View City Council <br />~egular Meeting <br />Councilmember Blanchard stated that she had <br />streetlight on Woodcrest between Silver Lake <br />Theresa Schmidt would like action as soon as <br />Page Nine <br />May 11, 1992 <br />received a petition for a <br />Road and Knollwood Drive. <br />possible. <br />2. a) Mayor Linke thanked the Environmental Quality Task Force, the <br />Trailways Advocacy Group and the Senior Center Task Force for <br />the work performed for the City. Mayor Linke commended <br />all of these groups for their dedication to their projects. <br />Councilmember Quick also expressed his thanks for the <br />time and dedication put forth by these volunteers. <br />b) Mayor Linke announced that Dorothy Peterson was celebrating 25 <br />years of employment with the City of Mounds View. Staff is <br />planning a potluck for noon tomorrow. Mayor Linke expressed <br />thanks to Dorothy on behalf of the City for her dedication to the <br />City and to the residents of the City. Linke stated that 25 years <br />in one spot is a whole bunch. <br />3. Samantha Orduno, City Administrator, reported that the Legislative <br />wrap-up would be held Wednesday, May 13. Orduno will be in <br />• attendance and will be discussing the sales tax issues and <br />will be serving on a committee who will be working on the sales <br />tax issue. <br />4. a) Ric Minetor, Director of Public Works/City Engineer stated that <br />the new water treatment plant is nearing completion and should be <br />producing water by Memorial Day. Ribbon cutting will be held <br />sometime in June when all work is completed. <br />b) Minetor stated that the water tower will be completed in <br />September. <br />c) Mayor Linke stated that he will be at the Ramsey County League of <br />Local Government Meeting on Wednesday at the Roseville Community <br />Center. <br />Mayor Linke reminded the general public of the 1993 Budget Workshop <br />on May 18 and the next regular Council Meeting to be held on Tuesday, <br />May 26 due to Memorial Day Holiday. <br />A resident, Shelia Nevius, 5387 Jackson, asked if the Council had passed a <br />resolution on Saturn this evening. <br />Mayor Linke responded that a resolution was passed for Mounds View Business <br />Park West regarding an outlot. This outlot could be used as an extension of <br />Jackson in the future. <br />• <br />Ms. Nevius asked if residents would be notified. <br />
