At this time, Mr. Bauer was requesting that the condition requiring a hard <br /> surface driveway be removed from his CUP. <br /> Mayor Flaherty opened the public hearing at 7:07 p.m. <br /> Hearing no public input, Mayor Flaherty closed the public hearing at 7:07 p.m. <br /> Mayor Flaherty noted he toured the Bauer Welding last Thursday and indicated this company <br /> was a great addition to the City of Mounds View. He thanked Mr. Bauer for his fine facility and <br /> did not object to the CUP amendment. <br /> MOTION/SECOND: Flaherty/Mueller. To Waive the Reading and Adopt Resolution 7808, <br /> Approving a Conditional Use Permit Amendment for Bauer Welding, 2159 Mustang Drive. <br /> Council Member Gunn stated Bauer Welding was a great asset to the community and thanked <br /> them for their many years of service to the City of Mounds View. <br /> Mayor Flaherty encouraged Mr. Bauer to participate in Festival in the Park. <br /> Ayes—5 Nays—0 Motion carried. <br /> B. Resolution 7807, Approving the 2011 Mounds View Festival in the Park • <br /> Contract. <br /> Assistant City Administrator Crane stated the Council was being asked to approve a contract <br /> between the non-profit Festival in the Park organization and the City of Mounds View. She <br /> noted the only change from last year's contract was the Festivals date. Staff recommends <br /> approval of the contract as submitted. <br /> Council Member Stigney questioned if the contribution from Twin Cities Gateway CVB off set <br /> the expenses needed from the City. City Administrator Ericson explained those funds were <br /> restricted and had to be used for advertising and signage. The expenses from the City were to <br /> pay for public works and police services for the event. <br /> Mayor Flaherty asked how plans were coming along for the Festival. Assistant City <br /> Administrator Crane noted the layout of the park would be slightly altered due to the water tower <br /> rehabilitation but all events would take place as planned. The parade was changed to be held in <br /> the morning i n.: ad of the after con. <br /> MOTION/SECOND: Gunn/N.Teller.
