To Approve the August 22, 2011, Executive Session <br /> meeting minutes as submitted. <br /> Ayes—5 Nays—0 Motion carried. <br /> 11. REPORTS <br /> A. Reports of Mayor and Council. <br /> Council Member Gunn reported there were several forest fires in northern Minnesota. For this <br /> reason, the DNR has issued a burning ban. She encouraged the residents to use caution when <br /> having a recreational fire. <br /> Council Member Mueller stated the Mounds View Business Council would be meeting on • <br /> Wednesday, September 14th at 7:30 a.m. at the Community Center. She noted the latest edition <br /> of the Mounds View Matters was now available. <br /> Council Member Mueller explained Bauer Welding on behalf of the Festival in the Park Car <br /> Show donated $500 to the Ralph Reader Food Shelf. An additional $100 in cash and goods was <br /> donated from the Car Show event. A letter of thanks was received from the food shelf indicating <br /> there was a great need in the community at this time. She encouraged the community to make a <br /> donation to the local food shelf if possible as it would directly impact the local residents. The <br /> food shelf is located in the old Pike Lake School in New Brighton <br /> Mayor Flaherty indicated production has wrapped up for Joseph and the Amazing Technicolor <br /> Dream Coat. The City received a special thanks from the production company. <br /> Mayor Flaherty questioned how the City would proceed with the mandated sign requirement <br /> deadlines. Public Works Director DeBar explained the deadlines have shifted, but City has all <br /> stop sihns inventor c'_ with the new CPS devic e.
