Mounds View City Council December 5,2011 <br /> IIITruth in Taxation Meeting Page 3 <br /> at the last Council meeting. <br /> Mayor Flaherty questioned how much the City has saved through the Street and Utility <br /> Improvement Program over the past three years. Finance Director Beer explained the City has <br /> saved approximate $1.1-$1.2 million over the estimated original costs. He indicated $400,000 <br /> was to be levied each year for 10 years for the Street and Utility Improvement Program and this <br /> amount has been decreased to$300,000 a year. <br /> Council Member Stigney asked where the impound fees and auction sales were noted within the <br /> budget. Finance Director Beer stated Page 29 and Page 75 of the budget reflected the forfeiture <br /> or auction sales. He noted the City does not collect impound fees. <br /> Council Member Gunn inquired if the gas and oil prices were increased from 2011. Finance <br /> Director Beer stated the rate was increased to $4.00 per gallon and the yearly average should be <br /> within the 2012 rates set in the budget. <br /> MOTION/SECOND: Mueller/Stigney. To Approve the 2012 Budget Summary as presented at <br /> the Truth In Taxation Hearing. <br /> Ayes—5 Nays—0 Motion carried. <br /> 11110 8.
