To Waive the Reading and Adopt Resolution 7710, 3 <br />Setting the 2011 City Council Meeting Dates, Staff Retreat, and the 2011 Town Hall Meetingon4 <br />dates noted above. 5 <br />6 <br />Ayes – 5 Nays – 0 Motion carried. 7 <br />8 <br />F. Resolution 7709, Approving Various Appointments to City Committeesand9 <br />Commissions. 10 <br />11 <br />City Administrator Ericson explained the City would have several open seats at the end of 2010. 12 <br />He noted there were four openings that the Council needed to determine prior to approval ofthe13 <br />resolution. He reviewed the list of openings in detail and recommended the Council approvethe14 <br />appointments. 15 <br />16 <br />The Council was in favor of appointing the three applicants that applied in time to the threeyear17 <br />terms. The one year term would go to the applicant that applied after the stated deadline date. 18 <br />19 <br />Council Member Mueller indicated the individual that turned in his application past thedeadline20 <br />was hoping to serve for three years. He was ready to serve the City and assist with thestreet21 <br />improvements program in his neighborhood. 22 <br />23 <br />Council Member Gunn was in favor of the one year position being given to the applicantthat24 <br />turned in the application late as he could always be reappointed. 25 <br />26 <br />Council Member Hull agreed. 27 <br />28 <br />Mayor Flaherty felt this was the correct course of action to take. 29 <br />30 <br />MOTION/SECOND: Mueller/Hull. Resolution 7713, Authorizing INSPEC, Inc. to Design and PrepareBidding36 <br />Documents for 2011 City Roof Replacement Projects. 37 <br />38 <br />Public Works Director DeBar indicated the City has been addressing roofing issues sincethis39 <br />past summer. All facilities were inspected by INSPEC, Inc. through a recently approvedRoof40 <br />Management Plan. Detailed recommendations were made by INSPEC through the plan basedon41 <br />each facility. 42 <br />43 <br />Public Works Director DeBar further reviewed the scope of work and which buildingswere44 <br />recommended to have roof work completed.
