IEW <br />Item No: 7.13 <br />Meeting Date: October 11, 2010 <br />Type of Business: Council Business <br />Administrator Review: ,, t <br />To: Honorable Mayor and City Council <br />From: Mark Beer, Finance Director <br />Item Title/Subject: Public Hearing to receive Public Input and pass upon Resolution <br />7720 Adopting a Special Assessment Levy for Delinquent Public <br />Utility Accounts <br />A public hearing is scheduled for 7:10 P.M. to receive public input regarding the proposed assessment <br />of a delinquent public utility account. This action is at the request of the property owner and to protect <br />the City in the event of a foreclosure. Individual notice of the meeting was sent by first class mail to <br />the affected property owner on December 21, 2010. Attached is the roll for the assessment notice <br />that was sent out. This account was delinquent as of January 1, 2011. <br />The Owner may prepay the assessment between January 11, 2011 and February 11, 2011 without <br />paying additional interest. After that, interest at the rate of 5.5% will accrue from January 10, 2011 <br />through the payment date. The interest rate and administrative fee were set by the City Council in <br />Resolution 7135. <br />On or about February 15, 2011, we will forward the assessment roll to Ramsey County for collection <br />with the 2012 property taxes. <br />Respectfully submitted, <br />s Mark Beer "O
