Mounds View City Council November 13, 2000 <br />Regular Meeting Page 3 <br />Mayor Coughlin extended his thanks to those involved with facilitating the recent election. He <br />issued a special thank you to Assistant to the Administrator Reed for her efforts to run a smooth, <br />trouble free election. He thanked the election fudges for volunteering to assist with the election <br />and issued a special thank you to the CTV Staff and Patrick Toth for election night coverage. <br />Mayor Coughlin reported he had attended an I-35W Corridor meeting and has information <br />available from that meeting should any of the Council members wish to review it. <br />City Administrator Miller thanked Ms. Reed for the outstanding job handling the election. <br />City Administrator Miller reported the voicemail system for the City has been updated and said <br />there are a few glitches which are currently being worked on. She will be out of the office on <br />Friday, November 15, 2000 to attend a seminar conducted by the League of Minnesota Cities. <br />Council Member Marty asked City Administrator Miller to comment on her recent trip to Japan. <br />City Administrator Miller thanked the Council for the opportunity to travel to Japan. She <br />indicated she was one of seven officials from the United States that participated in an exchange <br />with Japan to attend a seminar in Tokyo. They also traveled to Kochi where they toured cities <br />and met with city officials. She indicated she found the trip beneficial and found that the issues <br />were largely the same in the cities she toured as the issues facing the City of Mounds View. <br />• 7. CONSENT AGENDA <br />A. Approve Just and Correct Claims. <br />B. Licenses for Approval. <br />C. Set Public Hearing Date for 7:10 p.m., November 27, 2000 to Consider Ordinance <br />No. 675, an Ordinance Rezoning the Mermaid Parcels fro B-3 Highway Business <br />to PUD Planned Unit Development. <br />D. Set Public Hearing Date for 7:15 p.m., November 27, 2000 to Consider Ordinance <br />No. 672, an Ordinance Amending Chapter 1106 of the Mounds View Zoning <br />Code Relating to Home Occupations. <br />Mayor Coughlin asked the Council if anyone would like to remove items for discussion. <br />MOTION/SECOND: Marty/Quick. To Approve the Consent Agenda for Items A, B, C, and D <br />as presented. <br />Ayes - 4 Nays - 0 Motion carried. <br />8. UNFINISHED BUSINESS <br />None. <br />
