Mounds View City Council March 26, 2001 <br />Regular Meeting Page 3 <br />information she handed out and get back to her by tomorrow morning with any changes or <br />additions they would like to see. <br />Council Member Marty commented the resident input he has received indicates residents would <br />like to see the facility remain a children's child care facility since it is set up for that. <br />Mayor Sonterre reported he has been spending time at the Capitol and there are three items that <br />have made it through the revising process and will be introduced. The first is a bill creating a <br />scattered site TIF district for residential purposes. The second is a $1 million appropriation to <br />the City to cover two thirds of the cost to build a sound wall on County Highway 10 from Long <br />Lake Road to the I-35 intersection. The third is a $50,000 allocation for the development of a <br />pathway system between the Fridley and Blaine portion of the Rice Creek Watershed. <br />Assistant to the Administrator Reed reported she was attempting to schedule the Board and <br />Commissions' appreciation dinner and then asked Council which date it preferred. <br />It was the consent of Council to schedule the Board and Commissions' appreciation dinner for <br />May 3, 2001. <br />Assistant to the Administrator Reed reported the City Administrator's six-month evaluation was <br />coming up and asked Council to return the evaluation sheets to her. <br />• Mayor Sonterre noted he had taken care of the evaluation sheets for the City Administrator. <br />Assistant to the Administrator Reed stated that in her staff report she had indicated she did not <br />have time to review all the items for the license approval but she has now and with the exception <br />of an inspection by the fire marshal Blimpies has complied with all City requirements. <br />Council Member Marty stated he felt the 2001 Wetlands/Waters bill being introduced by Senator <br />Stevens and Representative Osmond is a good bill that the City should support. <br />Mayor Sonterre asked Council Member Marty to contact the authors of the bill to voice support <br />for it. <br />7.
