Mounds View City Council January 13, 2025 <br />Regular Meeting Page 10 <br /> <br />Council Member Gunn stated on Thursday, January 16, the City would be sponsoring a fire and <br />ice event at Lambert Park. <br /> <br /> B. Reports of Staff. <br /> <br />Finance Director Bauman reported the Finance Department was working on yearend reports and <br />W-2’s. She noted auditors would be coming in at the end of the week to do some preliminary work <br />and the quarter four utility bills would be going out this week as well. <br /> <br />Public Works/Parks and Recreation Director Peterson provided the Council with an update on the <br />water meter change out project. He noted there were 250 to 300 meters that have yet to be replaced. <br /> <br />Public Works/Parks and Recreation Director Peterson explained the Ardan Park pond dredging <br />was moving along. He stated a change order may be brought forward. <br /> <br />Public Works/Parks and Recreation Director Peterson commented the signal lights on Mounds <br />View Boulevard was originally estimated to cost the City $800,000, and the City’s portion has <br />come in at $1,051,000. He reported he would be speaking with Ramsey County regarding this <br />matter. <br /> <br />Mayor Lindstrom asked if staff had an update on the wetland banking. Public Works/Parks and <br />Recreation Director Peterson stated this would be further discussed at the February workshop <br />meeting. <br /> <br />Police Chief Zender thanked the City Council for their support of the Tribute Park. He thanked the <br />committee members and staff for all of their efforts as well. He explained the Daddy Daughter <br />Dance would be held on February 8. He reported he was trying to get enough officers together to <br />do a polar plunge for Special Olympics. He noted he was currently short four officers. He explained <br />he held interviews last Friday and he would be moving forward with one of the candidates that <br />comes with experience. He commented further on two incidents that occurred over the weekend <br />and he thanked his officers for their tremendous professionalism. <br /> <br />City Administrator Zikmund stated he was working with Minnesota Roots on the Simons property. <br /> <br />City Administrator Zikmund explained he was waiting to hear from the Dahl attorney in order to <br />close on this property. <br /> <br />10.
